  • Hillside House

We welcome community partners and out-of-town guests of Portland Leadership Foundation to experience the leadership development environment that the Hillside House represents. The Hillside House serves as the home for our Young Fellows, who are engaging in a year of full-time service at a local non-profit while living together at the house.

The shared house provides a living area space for day use, and 3 guest rooms for short term overnight stay: one a master suite with a king bed, deck, and private bathroom. The second room has a queen bed, desk and flat screen TV. The third bedroom has a twin bed, desk and dresser. Other accommodations include wireless internet, in-season air-conditioning, bottled water and snacks.

Due to tremendous demand, at any given time the house may be hosting multiple groups, for day and overnight use, so 100% privacy cannot be guaranteed. We ask for flexibility as we attempt to accommodate the many needs of the communities we serve and for assistance in keeping this resource clean and comfortable for all.It is also understood that any items you bring to the Hillside House (camera, cell phone, other personal electronics, jewelry etc.) are the responsibility of the guest, and the Hillside House is in no way responsible for lost, missing, stolen or damaged items.

Day Use

Our day use of the home can accommodate a maximum group of twelve people, and we ask that you give every effort to carpooling so that we can respect our neighbors.

There is high demand for our shared space, and it is sometimes booked back-to-back, so we ask guests to tidy up after themselves and observe scheduled arrival and departure times.

Overnight Use

The Hillside House welcomes a range of out-of-town guests and is booked nearly year round. For this reason, we no longer allow guests to schedule for repetitive and regular visits. We allow up to two visits per year and all guests using the home must be noted on the front end of the visit request.

Our overnight stays can accommodate five guests total, with two rooms that have queen beds and the third a twin bed. Guests may not have more than one person staying in the bedrooms unless they are a couple. The maximum number of nights we can host guests is for a 5-night stay.
