About the Young Fellowship
The Young Fellowship is an emerging initiative being developed at Portland Leadership Foundation (PLF). Designed to offer select college graduates a “gap-year” Fellowship, all Fellows will live together at the Young Family Foundation’s Hillside House, serve four days a week with a non-profit in the Portland metro area, and receive year-long non-profit coaching, personal mentoring and spiritual direction. The program is designed to combine business acumen with a strong faith; however, the Young Fellowship is ultimately focused on selecting and training the next generation of non-profit leaders for our city. Fellows will work directly with the Executive Director of the non-profit, who will offer an unprecedented hands-on working experience. This experience, paired with PLF’s focus in integrating faith and vocation, will result in a year of growth that is unprecedented in terms of developing non-profit leaders.
